“If you want a different result, don’t keep doing the same thing”. We’ve all heard different versions of this wise saying. But how often do we actively try to do things differently? It’s so much more comfortable to be safely cocooned in our daily routines.
There is, however, an inescapable truth to the “don’t do what you’ve always done if you want a different outcome” advice that is worth paying attention to.
If you’re stuck in a comfortable or uncomfortable rut – here is your nudge to try something new, something different, something you’ve been meaning to try but haven’t actually done. Even the tiniest effort to try something different can build momentum and lead to positive change.

Try a new route to work or a different walking path when you go for a walk the next time.
Try making new recipe or visiting a new to you local eatery.
Talk to someone you don’t know.
Make plans to do something you’ve been meaning to try.
Volunteer somewhere new where you can contribute and meet new people.
Check out a new book from the library in a completely different genre than you’re used to. Sign up for an online class.
Call someone you haven’t talked to in a long while.
It just might be worth it to try that one thing that completely changes up your day and week!
I want to spur my creative spirit with art. So, today I will watch a drawing class on youtube. I’ve been thinking of doing this for weeks now. Thanks for the inspiration.
