Today’s motivational nudge: Letting go of the gap between “what is” and “what isn’t”

I think that in so many ways so many of us are striving to reach for “what isn’t” or “what isn’t yet” — instead of fully immersing ourselves in the beauty of “what is”.

The problem with that can be that the “what isn’t” we’re reaching for may be a shiny mirage or may even be something that is right for someone else but not really right for us.

Marketing often capitalizes on that very shiny mirage as do people who may seek to make others feel “less than” through criticism or continual judgement of perceived inadequacies.

Today’s motivational nudge is: Don’t look for the “what isn’t” in your life. Be thankful for all the good in “what is” this week and beyond — and take the time to revel fully in all that is positive and beautiful about the world and this very moment.

  1. What a great reminder to appreciate what’s happening now and enjoy each day. Sometimes I get impatient wanting things to change when I just need to slow down. Thank you for sharing this today! 💞
