today’s motivational nudge: implementing the active form of the word “confidence”

According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, one definition of the word confidence is “a feeling or consciousness of one’s powers or of reliance on one’s circumstances”.

If we were to actively choose to be confident every morning, we would specifically decide to walk into our day certain of our own inner strength and having reminded ourselves of all of the unique capabilities we have to draw upon – we’ll know that we can handle it.

I don’t think this is the same as “fake it till you make it”. I think this is more of an acceptance of ourselves exactly as we are combined with a sense of certainty in the knowledge that we have the inner strength to take on the day and the ability to lean into our strengths and deal with whatever comes our way.

Today’s motivational nudge is: Decide to walk into your day with a focus on taking on the day with a sense of inner certainty, belief in your own capabilities and with the goal of coming from a place of feeling secure and confident in your ability to cope as you work through any challenges that come up.
