Often, the smallest changes can have a big impact. Here are two tiny changes to consider that fall into that category:
Add a Different Color to Your Wardrobe

If you research the psychology of color, you’ll find a plethora of information about all the different ways color can change how you feel on a given day.
This may sound like a superficial change, however, seeing yourself in a bolder, a more playful or a more serene color that you don’t typically wear may lift your spirits — especially if you’re in the part of the world where summer is making its entrance.
Read Something in a Completely Different Genre

Read a book, a blog or an article in a different genre from what you’re used to turning to. Take a few minutes to look up random nuggets of information about things you’ve always been curious about.
Some of the best inspiration and new ideas can come from that spark of brand new understanding that comes from looking at something in a completely different way.

(Personally, I was completely taken aback when I read that a sloth has a stomach with 4 chambers, which means it takes the average sloth 10 times longer to digest food – no wonder they seem to lack energy…!)

What are some things that have been cheering you up lately?
I love that little factoid about sloth stomachs. I didn’t know that! Thanks for a great read and inspiration!

Some things that have been cheering me up are seeing baby bunnies in our front yard and ducklings on our local pond.

Love that, bunnies are so inquisitive and not very afraid of cars (around here..), so they worry me sometimes. The ducklings must be adorable.

Yes. The ducklings are so sweet. We were worried this year because they arrived several weeks later than usual. But yesterday, when I walked by the pond, there they were!

I like trying new activities with my friend Julie, pushing ourselves out of our comfort zone a little. Last week we went to a new sports club on a free day pass. The class we did was not really my thing and too hard, but I don’t regret doing it as I’ll try something else next time 😊. It makes me feel alive and happy to try new things.

That sounds like fun – I like the free pass method to try out something for the first time as well. It is nice to do something new and different to change it up.

A visitor yesterday told me there were lots of tiny baby frogs on my driveway in the pouring rain. Your bit about reading different genres of book reminded me that sometimes when I go to the library I decide to choose books according to a silly self-imposed rule such as ‘only books with a yellow spine’ or ‘only books that are fourth from the right hand end of the shelf’ – it shakes my reading up.

That is so funny, I sometimes pick a book by the color of the spine just to see what it is as well..I haven’t seen baby frogs in a long time – that must have been quite the sight. Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Cheering me up is hearing the loons call in the morning and again at night! And I so agree with you about color! I was wearing a lot of black and grey, now I’ve added some bright jewel tones to my wardrobe! It CAN be attitude changing! And do simple to do!

That sounds like a lovely way to start and end the day! I’ve been adding brighter colors as well and it does add that extra little bit of cheer. Thanks for stopping by 🙂
