3 weekly journaling prompts: this week’s theme – giving ourselves recognition

The pandemic has changed all of our lives in big and small ways. We’ve all adapted and adjusted in so many ways. We’ve dealt with uncertainty, unpredictability, and so many different types of stress on top of what was going on in our lives to begin with.

I find that it is easy to keep going without actually looking back and acknowledging how much we’ve all pulled together for loved ones, ourselves and the world at large during this time.

This week’s journaling theme centers on acknowledging all that we’ve been through and the process of giving ourselves recognition for changing, adapting, coping and continuing to get through it all.

Here are 3 sets of prompts on this theme:

  1. What has been the most difficult part of the pandemic for you? How did you handle it?
  2. What are you most proud of when you think of all the things you were able to manage during this time? What would you give yourself kudos for?
  3. What are you most thankful for in this moment when you think back?

And a bonus prompt:

>> What are you working on right now that you’re proud of in this moment?

  1. I’m trying to think of positive answers to your questions, but the mood in the UK re the pandemic is not good at the moment. I’m feeling fed up with our rising case numbers including doubly vaccinated friends of mine who are Covid positive and ill at the moment. As usual our government will not act until it’s too late. Everyone including me seems to be getting very grumpy about it as we head into autumn/winter.

    1. I’m kind of worried about everything too – the pandemic does seem endless. We’re starting to see people scheduled for boosters in the U.S. for certain categories of the population.
      Are boosters helping over there?
